The Journey of a Lifetime
Welcome, Career Seeker. Maybe you started in this field a few months ago, years ago, or decades ago. You need that extra boost to conquer troublesome interviews. If you are like most developers, answers about formal data structures and tricky algorithm problems don't come naturally because you rarely implement them on the job. This puts you at a disadvantage during interviews. Many people feel intimidated and decide against applying at their dream job because they feel like it is a skill out of their reach.
No worries! Whoever you are, we want to help you get there. We'll show you how easy and fun it is to learn and apply data structures and algorithms. It is our deepest desire that you look back after completing this program and and realize you can do anything. We want to see what you'll do next and follow all your achievements.
Below is a rough outline of what you can expect during your journey with Algorithm Academy. We are constantly tweaking the process and curriculum so things may change from day to day. This currently is an on-site program and requires you to attend in-person. In general, you can expect something simliar to the following.
1.
Inquiry
After you contact us we will arrange a time to discuss your goals, any questions you may have and align expectations. This will consist of a conversation with one of our mentors about your career plans and a review of your current resume and social profile (LinkedIn).
2.
Admissions
Paperwork, any remaining questions, and payment.
3.
Pre-Course
You'll complete your pre-course homework which consists of some coding assignments, establishing a LinkedIn profile (if you haven't already), GitHub account, and so on. During this time you'll also make any arrangements before starting the program.
4.
Course (4-weeks)
Time complexity will become your best friend (no memorizing, you'll actually get to know it). Recursion will become your bester friend. Coding challenges will become your bestest friend. Gain confidence as you solve them.
You'll learn how to understand and implement the common data structures and some advanced ones.
Practice interviews, whiteboarding, interview tactics and tips, salary negotiation, etc.
5.
Career (lifetime)
After completing the program, we'll continue to support you during your job hunt and transitions throughout your career.
